Gaming background: Before Guild Wars, I have mostly played games off-line and participated in a couple of local LAN tourneys consisting of very diverse games.

Role: I have been playing prot backline in most of my competitive guilds, and I continue to do so in [vD]. There is nothing like the feeling of having a teammate's life in your hands.

Favorite character: Monks aside, disruptive characters would be my choice because they are able to change the course of each matchup.

Tip: When playing Monk avoiding knockdowns and devastating combos—such as Bull's Strike followed by a nicely timed Shock—may in tight matches as well be the deciding factor of the outcome.
